ZICA is the official body that represents all certified accountants in Zambia, providing accountibilty in the quality and service of the accounting profession. Established under the Accountants Act of 1982 (CAP) 390, ZICA is managed by a Council consisting of 12 members of which 10 are elected by members at the AGM and 2 are nominated by the Minister of Finance and National Planning.

ZICA offers various accountancy programmes including CA Zambia a full accountancy professional qualification of international standing which is well administered and well supported with texts books  and other materials.
